Highs + Lows Magazine

Mock Travel Magazine cover and spreads

Highs + Lows Magazine is a fictional travel magazine I created for my final in my first typography class. Reading an issue of Highs + Lows is like grabbing coffee with your well-traveled friend who just got back from a fantastic trip. The composition and design is inspired by vintage travel magazine and scrapbooks, meant to make the reader connect with the publication in a more personal manner, opposite of a traditional commercialized travel magazine.

This issue is all about Switzerland, inspired by my travels to Geneva and Interlaken in May of 2024, which made giving this design a personal flare that much easier. Each issue of the publication would focus on a different area of the world, providing readers with testimonials and recommendations from travelers.

absolutely zero alcohol

mock ghia aperitif social graphics

Three spec social-oriented for Ghia's Original & Berry Apéritifs, drawing inspiration from the iconic Absolut Vodka campaign. Ghia is a non-alcoholic beverage company carrying aperitif mixers and spritzes. The company is revolutionizing the NA beverage scene, excelling in the digital marketing and design space.

The aim of this mini campaign was to creatively market Ghia’s non-alcoholic aperitifs by incorporating elements from its alcoholic competitor within the composition, contrasting the audience's expectations for the design. This ensures that Ghia stands out as a delicious alternative for those who don’t drink.

Victorinox - 125 Year Anniversary campaign

Victorinox, the legacy brand behind the all-in-one pocket tool, the Swiss Army Knife, celebrated their 125th anniversary in 2022. I was challenged to create two graphics that showcase Victorinox’s rich history while showcasing its hero product in a new way.

These designs effectively showcase the many uses of the Swiss Army Knife while still maintaining a creative, design-centered composition. These designs are inspired in part by product shots and advertisements of the 1980’s, further emphasizing the knife’s durability throughout years of use and ware.

American typomaniacs summit

mock typography summit promotional posters

Two of five mock posters I made for a fictional “American Typomaniacs Summit” for my first typography class. I was tasked with using the same copy between the posters, utilizing only two typefaces per poster. This was an interesting exercise in composition and type manipulation.

“SEE LIKE A LOCAL”

mock airbnb campaign posters

This mock Airbnb campaign uses the tagline “See like a local,” and was created for my Visual Brand Storytelling class. I was tasked with creating two print ads, one “quiet” and one “loud,” to promote Airbnb’s extension, Airbnb Experiences. Both ads focus on the same subject matter, but are presented in two different visual tones.

The ad to the left is my “loud” concept, showcasing a lively moment of friends enjoying Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. The ad to the right is my “quiet” concept, highlighting the various types of activities you can do on Airbnb experiences.
